The base is actually an earlier 1960s circa 1962. This is a 622TA Draftsmans arm chair stool, originally designed by Ray and Charles Eames in 1957. The 622TA Draftsman stool measures 24.75 inches deep, 25.25 wide, and 41 high with a seat height of 27.25. Its possible that the shell actually says 1965 or base does not technically belong.

It came from the estate of original owner. Some minor wear can be seen on the stool from previous use, but overall it is in very good to excellent condition. This particular example was produced by Herman Miller in the USA. Please see photos.

To clarify, it appears that the shell is newer than base, but both are original Herman Miller pieces. The chair is comprised of a fiberglass shell seat in orange atop cast aluminum tilt swivel base.
