The steel frame is in good original condition with some scratches, and the leather upholstery has marks scratches. This is a Brno Armchair, model MR50, initially designed by Ludwig Mies van der Rohe and Lilly Reich in 1929. Please see photos.

The flat-bar construction was a novel idea to emerge at the time, as tubular styling of Bauhaus had but recently established themselves mode de-rigger. This particular example was Gordon Bunshafts personal chair. This particular example was produced by Knoll in 1963.
